The First Station: Jesus is condemned to die.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:20 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider how Jesus, after having been scourged and crowned with thorns, was unjustly condemned by Pilate to die on the cross.
My loving Jesus, it was not so much Pilate as my many sins that condemned Thee to die on the Cross. Save me by Thy death from the eternal death, which my sins ahve so often deserved. I am sorry for them, I will never sin again.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Second Station: Jesus Carries His Cross.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:19 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider how Jesus, in making this journey with the Cross on His shoulders, thought of us, and for us offered to His Father the death He was about to undergo.
O My Jesus, it was by Thine own will and for the love of me that Thou didst take up the most heavy Cross, which I made for Thee by my sins. Grant that I may heartily detest and bewail them as long as I live.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Third Station: Jesus Falls the First Time.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:18 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider this first fall of Jesus under His Cross. His flesh was torn by the scourges. His head crowned with thorns, and He had lost a great quantity of blood. He was so weakened that He could scarcely walk, and yet He had to carry this great load upon His shoulders. The soldiers struck Him rudely, and thus He fell several times in His journey.
O My Jesus, it was the weight of mu numerous sins, which caused Thee to fall beneath the Cross. Forgive me, O Lord: I am sorry for my sins and firmly resolved never more to sin.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Fourth Station: Jesus Meets His Mother.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:17 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider the meeting of the Son and the Mother, which took place on this journey. Jesus and Mary kissed each other, and their looks became as so many arrows to wound those hearts, which loved each other tenderly.
O My Jesus, how painful it was for Thee to meet Thy most afflicted Mother! O Mary, how great it was thy grief in meeting thy beloved Son Jesus laden with the Cross, going to die on it for my sins. Obtain for me a great sorrow for my sins and the grace to sin no more.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Fifth Station: Simon Helps Jesus Carry His Cross.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:16 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider how the Roman soldiers, seeing that at each step Jesus from weakness was on the point of expiring, and fearing that He would die on the way, when they wished Him to die the ignominious death of the Cross, constrained Simon the Cyrenian to help carry Cross.
O My Jesus, thrice blest was he who aided Thee to bear the Cross. I accept, as a penance for my sins all the crosses and trials of my whole life. Grant that I may bear them patiently for the love of Thee.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Sixth Station: Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:15 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider how Veronica, seeing Jesus so afflicted and His face bathed in sweat and blood, presented Him with a towel, with which He wiped His adorable face, leaving on it the impression of His holy countenance.
My loving Jesus, Thou did design to print Thy sacred face on Veronica's cloth; design to wipe away from my soul all its sins, and imprint on it the lasting memory of Thy bitter sufferings.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Seventh Station: Jesus Falls the Second Time.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:14 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider the second fall of Jesus under the Cross—a fall which renews the pain of all the wounds of the head and members of our afflicted Lord.
O My Jesus, it was my falling back into sin that caused Thee to fall again beneath Thy Cross. Grant me grace and strength never more to fall into sin.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Eighth Station: Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:13 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider how those women wept with compassion at seeing Jesus in such a pitable state, streaming with blood, as He walked along. But Jesus said to them, “Weep not for Me, but for your children.”
O My Jesus, Thou did teach the women of Jerusalem to weep rather over themselves; grant that while I meditate on Thy sufferings, I may weep over my sins, which were the cause of them all.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Ninth Station: Jesus Falls the Third Time.
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:12 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider the third fall of Jesus. His weakness was extreme and the cruelty of His executioners excessive, who tried to hasten His steps when He had scarcely strength to move.
O My Jesus, my repeated falls into sin, after so many promises to sin no more, were the cause of all Thy falls beneath the Cross. I am now firmly resolved, with the help of Your all-powerful grace, to avoid sin and its occasions.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
The Tenth Station: Jesus is Stripped of His Garments
Monday, August 16 2004 @ 11:11 PM CDT
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider the violence with which the executioners stripped Jesus. His inner garments adhered to His torn flesh, and they dragged them off so roughly that the skin came with them.
O My Jesus, grant that I may strip myself of all attachment to sinful pleasures, and never offend Thee by the vices of impurity and intemperance.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...
Have mercy on us, O Lord; have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through, In my heart each wound renew of my Saviour crucified.
